This is more of a collaborative project. I made sketches of these songs and then hashed them out with the group during a few rehearsals and the recording session. The song forms were relatively established, but much of the arrangement was done by the group on the day of the recording. Unlike my Large Ensemble project, none of this music was ever written down, so the process was naturally more spontaneous and freewheeling. We recorded at my parents' home in Setauket, NY one weekend in the Spring of 2014, and it was fun.

Thanks to Dave, Ross, Chris, Katherine, Aaron, Fox, Doug, Rachel, and Jacob for giving so much. And thanks to my folks for letting us take over their music room for the weekend.

I'm happy to contribute this record to the growing catalog of Fishkill Records. Check out the other great records that have been accumulating there.
